I'm beyond grateful and excited to share that I was chosen to display four or five paintings in Bob Seger's dressing room on March 7th, at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas. The opportunity is part of LiveNation's new artist hospitality program. Apparently, artist and performers have been requesting local art be displayed in the different cities they perform in, to create a vibe and get a better feeling for said city. I'm looking forward to contributing and helping to make Mr. Seger's last Austin concert a memorable and groovy experience. I've been a fan for as long as I can remember, and this one should be a doozy!!! I'll update this post with photos sometime after the concert.

In May of 2018 I was contacted with a proposal to have one of my paintings reproduced in giclee form and installed at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Austin. I of course accepted the proposal and the painting was approved and installed in late summer of this year. I do not know where the painting is located in the hotel, but I look forward to making the Hyatt part of my personal Austin hotel art treasure hunt sometime in 2019.
The painting is titled "Magnolia" and was created in 2015. The original is composed of acrylic, graphite, polymers, and oil pastel and is 48x36 inches on gallery wrap canvas.
I was recently approached by Voyage Houston to be interviewed about my art and beginnings for their Thought Provokers series. Voyage Houston is a part of an online multi-city arts advocate campaign. I really dig what they are doing for artists and art lovers to bridge the gap and provide knowledge and background for the community and visual art scenes.
The entire process was very professional and I had a great time. You can find the link to the interview below:
Another East Austin Studio Tour has come and gone. I had forty paintings on display and available for purchase this year. I always have a wonderful time meeting new people, artists, and sharing stories and conversations about all kinds of things during EAST. I look forward to EAST every year now, because it is a great time to publicly reveal most of my previous year's worth of work. This year was my fourth EAST, and first year as an official participant.
Many thanks to Susannah Blanton for sharing her wonderful warehouse for the tour. She was also one of my EASTmates and had her fantastic paintings on display, along with the amazing work of Cynthia Bloom, Chris White, and the late Stacy Kirk. I very much look forward to next year!

I'm very excited and grateful to have been chosen to display my work at the Rick Husband International Airport in my hometown of Amarillo, Texas. I grew up there, and moved away at the age of 19. I will always call Amarillo home. The exhibit opened the last week of July and will be up for approximately four months. The paintings were created between 2013 and 2016. All of the paintings are available for purchase.

I am honored and excited to have been asked to participate in the 2017 BMC Design Artist Invitational. This is a year long exhibit featuring the work of five completely different stylized and accomplished artists. The exhibit will be on display until March of 2018. Viewings and consultations can be scheduled through me, as the BMC Design Center is open to the trade only. If interested in seeing the exhibit, please contact me at: firstname.lastname@example.org

Recently, I got word that an original painting commission was approved and will be installed at the Four Seasons Hotel Austin. I am very humbled and grateful for the opportunity to create an original painting for such a magnificent and wonderful hotel. This is the second commissioned project this year for an Austin hotel. These projects are completely invigorating and rewarding for me in ways words just can't express. As I start this painting today, I am reminded of my humble beginnings,...painting in my home back in Dallas fifteen years ago with not a care in the world, and no idea that one day I would be asked to create a painting for such a recognizable and distinguished hotel.
I'm very excited to share the news that some of my original paintings were reproduced in giclee form and installed over the summer at the Hilton Garden Inn Convention Center in downtown Austin. This is the first hotel to commission my work in my now hometown of ten years. I haven't had a chance to see the seven pieces in person yet, but I very much look forward to visiting the hotel and I will take some pics and share in the near future.
